Dr Botes studied medicine at the University of Newcastle where he graduated with distinction. Following this he became a fellow of the Royal College of GP's and has completed both professional and advanced certificates of skin cancer medicine as well as a professional diploma in skin cancer medicine.
Outside of work he is a very proud father of one (and counting), loves all sports and enjoys spending time with his family.
