In addition to her work in skin cancer Dr Finney also sees patients for aesthetic consultations.
Dr Georgina Finney grew up in Sydney and moved to Newcastle in 2006 after graduating from medicine at Sydney University. Prior to this she studied Advanced Science at UNSW and spent several years working in cancer research at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. She is a fellow of the Royal College of GPs and has completed a Professional Diploma of Dermoscopy and a Professional Certificate of Aesthetic Medicine.
Outside of work she is busy looking after her four children, while taking the opportunity to run, cycle, hike and practice yoga.
