Following NSW Health COVID 19 guidelines, we ask all patients to wear a surgical mask during their appointment. If you have an exemption from wearing a mask because of a disability, illness or condition you must produce a medical certificate or letter signed by a registered health practitioner such as a doctor or a registered NDIS provider. As per NSW Government guidelines we have the right to refuse entry if you cannot comply with our conditions. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

During Consultation:
The doctor may ask you to remove your mask to examine your face, please avoid talking while it is off.

Prior to surgery:
If you are attending a surgical appointment on your face or neck, you may be required to remove your mask for an extended period of time. To ensure the safety of staff and patients, if you are not able to provide evidence of a recent COVID-19 vaccination you will be required to arrive 20 minutes prior to your appointment to undertake a Rapid Antigen Test

Please do not attend our clinic if you answer yes to the following:

  • Have cold or flu like symptoms;

  • Are awaiting COVID-19 test results;

  • Have been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case in the past 14 days;

  • Are COVID-19 positive

If you have an upcoming appointment, we have put the following measures in place upon arrival to our clinic:

  • Check in with our reception staff upon arrival;

  • Dependent on number of people within our clinic, after you check in with Reception, you may be asked to wait in your car until your appointment time. Our reception team will advise you of a time to return.

Should I attend my appointment?

If you are unsure whether you should attend your appointment;

  • You can phone our reception team on 4032 8700 and speak with a staff member for guidance;

There are many things you can do to help stop the spread and protect your health and safety. Visit for further information.

What we are doing here at Newcastle Skin Check

The team at Newcastle Skin Check is dedicated to trying to provide a safe environment for our staff and our patients. We have put several measures in place to help protect those within our clinics:

  • Every patient who phones for an appointment or attends our clinic is asked several screening questions;

  • Each staff member is screened each day upon arrival for their shift;

  • All of our doctors are using the appropriate PPE to protect themselves;

  • Hand sanitiser readily available for staff members and patients;

  • All of our staff are being retrained in hand washing technique;

  • All staff are practicing Social Distancing;

  • We have reduced our waiting room capacity;

  • We have longer appointment times to allow for the consulting room to be sanitised;

  • Where possible, our doctors are teleconferencing with patients to minimise exposure.
